Gary Johnson vows ‘continuation’ of Obama’s approach to fighting ISIS, climate changes laws causing job loss

As Donald Trump’s GOP campaign melts down, Gary Johnson, the Libertarian Party presidential nominee, illustrated another appeal for liberals not conservatives, saying that he would likely represent a continuation of President Barack Obama’s efforts to contain ISIS.

“I don’t want to do anything that takes a step backwards” in our fight against ISIS, the former governor of New Mexico told David Axelrod on “The Axe Files” podcast, produced by the University of Chicago Institute of Politics and CNN.

“Not for a second do I want to say that Obama has not been well-thought” on this issue, Johnson said. “But if he has been, if you’re saying that he has been, I’m making the pitch that I’m going to be a continuation of that.”

Johnson struggled to gain any traction during this heated debate, making headlines by not knowing where Aleppo is…”Look, 90% of people don’t know what Aleppo is, but 90% of people aren’t running for president of the United States. I am, and there’s no excuse.”
The former Republican offered up his objection to global warming legislation and the Paris climate change agreement.
“If we’re out in front on this and it results in fewer US jobs — no, I’m not going to put us in a position of losing US jobs to comply ahead of everyone else.”
In a new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll, Johnson remains below 10% at 9%, well behind the 15% threshold to get into debates. In that poll, Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump 46-35%. Head-to-head between just Trump and Clinton, she leads 52-38%.
“A total of 52 percent of respondents say that the audiotape should be an issue in the campaign, while 42 percent say it should not be an issue,” their survey stated, referring to the lewd video from the 1990s with Billy Bush.
