‘Game of Thrones’ star Finn Jones will star in ‘Iron Fist’
Marvel and Netflix are set to unveil season two of Daredevil and then Luke Cage, coming in the fall, but the next series, Iron Fist, has finally found its star.
According to EW, Game of Thrones star Finn Jones, will go from playing Ser Loras Tyrell to Daniel “Danny” Rand, a martial arts practitioner who learns to wield the mystical force “known as the Iron Fist, which allows him to summon and focus his chi.”
Scott Buck will serve as showrunner on the series, known for directing the final seasons of Dexter, so fans will be eager to see what Buck wants to do with the character.
Jones may get introduced in Luke Cage since the two were a superhero duo in the comics when Cage operated under the name “Power Man”.
Even though Luke Cage was already going forward, Jessica Jones operated as a backdoor pilot of sorts for the character and now he already has his fans before his series even begins.
It will be interesting to see if Marvel attempts to go the same route with Iron Fist.
EW says that Netflix and Marvel had no comment, so we’re still awaiting official confirmation.
Iron Fist is expected to arrive in 2017 along with a second season
