Gabriel Luna confirms Ghost Rider series, new film discussed
Marvel is always expanding their universe with more TV series, and we’ve already heard of some of them: The Punisher on Netflix, The Runaways on Hulu, Cloak and Dagger on Freeform, and Damage Control on ABC.
While there have been rumored spin-offs from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the addition of Ghost Rider fuels new rumors.
During an interview with ComicBook.com, actor Gabriel Luna, who portrays the Spirit of Vengeance on the small screen, confirmed there have been discussions of developing a Ghost Rider solo series — or even a movie of some kind.
“It’s been talked about, there’s definitely deals in place for that potential. But I just take it one day at a time. I have so much fun now I just want to make sure I get these episodes right. If they throw more episodes on my plate, I will do my best to do well with those stories as well.”
Luna remarked earlier in the discussion, “I don’t have a preference. People talk about, ’Ah man he’d be great as a feature,’ which is [an] idea, too…It could be in the cinema, it could live on Netflix, whatever it is.”
Marvel’s Ghost Rider on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. may seem more aligned with the Defenders line-up on Netflix. If Robbie Reyes moved over to the streaming platform, it’d make for a nice reminder that all these shows and movies are still connected.
