FX releases a ‘trippy’ promo for ‘Legion’ season 2

FX has released a trippy new promo for the upcoming second season of Legion, the stylish X-Men universe-themed drama series with Dan Stevens as the lead character, David Haller.

Based on the Marvel Comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, Legion follows the story of David, a man who believed he was schizophrenic but discovered he might be the most powerful mutant in the world. With help from a team of specialists, David harnessed his unique abilities and learned he’d been haunted by a malicious parasite.

Now, David is all that stands in the way of Amahl Farouk (Navid Negahban) from attaining infinite and world-ending power.

The second season will premiere on FX on Tuesday, April 3.

Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Bill Irwin and Aubrey Plaza also star.

Hawley serves as executive producer, along with John Cameron, Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory.

The credits do not include Bryan Singer, the key creator from the feature X-Men franchise who asked last month that his EP credit be removed as more sexual misconduct allegations surfaced against him. Singer had very little creative involvement in Legion limited to the project’s early stages.

Legion is produced by FX Productions and Marvel Television, with FXP handling the physical production.
