‘Fraser’ star Kelsey Grammer joins cast of ‘The Expendables 3’
The Expendables 3 has made a slightly surprising addition to its ensemble of action men, with Kelsey Grammer becoming the latest star to join proceedings.

Long gone are his days as ‘Fraser’ or here as Patton in ‘An American Carol,’ Kelsey Grammer now joins ‘The Expendables 3’
According to Deadline, Grammer will play a character named Bonaparte, a former mercenary who pops up to assist the gang with their latest mission. The role had initially been written for Nicolas Cage, only for Sylvester Stallone to fail to land his man.
From the “mild-mannered shrink-turned-radio host Dr. Frasier Crane” (as described by Deadline) Grammer now has landed in a second huge franchise. He is the human baddie in Michael Bay’s Transformers: Age Of Extinction.
Grammer also worked recently with Stallone in the John Herzfeld-directed Reach Me and has a new series in the works with Martin Lawrence for Lionsgate.
Directed by Patrick Hughes and the film stars Stallone, Jason Statham, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Terry Crews, Antonio Banderas, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren and Wesley Snipes.
The Expendables 3 will open in theaters August 15, 2014.
