Franklin Graham: homosexual can go to heaven, through repentance
The Rev. Franklin Graham recently participated in an ABC News panel discussion on the religious right and mainstream American views, along with Russell More, Ralph Reed and Cokie Roberts. During the discussion, Graham explained how homosexuals get to heaven.
“Maybe gays that are watching want to know, ‘Can God forgive me? Or can I go to heaven as a gay person?’ Absolutely. But the same for any of us. We have to repent of our sins in turn. A person cannot stay in adultery and be accepted by God. You’ll have to repent.”
Graham, the President and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelical Association, didn’t point a finger at others without pointing three back at himself.
“Franklin Graham is a sinner,” the son of Billy Graham continued, “and I’m no better than a gay person. I’m a sinner. But I’ve been forgiven, and I’ve turned from my sins. For any person that’s willing to repent in turn, God will forgive.”
When challenged on the homosexuality ban and subsequent outrage on Russia, Graham pointed to failed leadership in America.
“We used to have a president in this country that did what’s right for this country, but we don’t seem to have that right now.”
The son of evangelist Billy Graham said his ailing 95-year-old father is doing “a little better” lately and “his mind is still sharp.”

Why should anyone care what Mr. Graham thinks or says? Were his father not Billie, Franklin Graham would be employed putting chocolate on cherries – or something equally challenging.
Stupid response. To quote Sheldon Cooper: If ifs and buts were candy and nuts we’d all have a Merry Christmas.
Franklin has made a name for himself and did a great job of discussing the topic.
