Franklin Graham attacks Barbara Pierce Bush, likens fundraising for Planned Parenthood to raising money for Nazi death camp
Evangelist Franklin Graham took aim former President George W. Bush’s daughter, Barbara Pierce Bush, for speaking at a Planned Parenthood fundraiser on Thursday, saying that raising funds for the abortion business is like raising money for Nazi death camps.
“Planned Parenthood is the #1 abortion provider in the United States,” Graham wrote in a Facebook post yesterday. “Raising funds for this organization is like raising money to fund a Nazi death camp — like Auschwitz, except for innocent babies in their mother’s wombs!”
The son of Billy Graham continued: “Reports say they [Planned Parenthood] perform over 300,000 abortions per year. And this is the organization whose employees were caught on video trying to sell baby body parts over wine. Disgusting.”

Bush will be the keynote speaker at the fundraiser for Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas. Individual tickets to the event cost $150, and sponsorship levels go up to $20,000.
Bush’s company, Global Health Corps, which promotes “health equity,” works closely with Planned Parenthood, which Bush labeled an “exceptional organization.”
Other pro-life leaders echoed Graham’s sentiment:
“Certainly, we are disappointed that Barbara Bush is helping to raise funds for Planned Parenthood, the group responsible for killing more than 300,000 unborn babies every year,” said Carol Tobias, President of National Right to Life Committee. “As presidents, her father and grandfather were strong allies of the right-to-life movement…We hope that in the coming months and years, Ms. Bush will more closely follow their example, understanding that innocent unborn children are human beings that deserve respect and protection.”
Destiny Herndon-De La Rosa, Founder and President of New Wave Feminists, stated that “As an uninsured women myself, it infuriates me that I’m expected to go to America’s largest abortion provider for my healthcare. We need CHOICES, ironically enough, not celebrities who keep propping up Planned Parenthood’s monopoly when it comes to our care.
“I really wish Barbara Bush could see through this scam, and put her time and talents into helping us create full service, non-violent, healthcare options for women.”
The President of Students for Life, Kristan Hawkins issued these words: “While children aren’t beholden to their parents’ ideals, values and moral views, it is disappointing that Barbara Bush, daughter of President George W. Bush, is keynoting a Planned Parenthood fundraiser, especially since her father held clearly anti-abortion public stances.
“Planned Parenthood is the nation’s largest abortion vendor and promotes abortion worldwide. There is no amount of good they can possibly do to make up for taking hundreds of thousands of innocent lives every year, which is something we wish Barbara Bush would have considered before accepting the keynote speech.
“There will be many young women there on Wednesday in Fort Worth representing the Pro-Life Generation who rejects abortion and rejects the notion that women must be able to end the lives of their children in order to pursue their own dreams.”
