Fox casts ‘The Fantastic Four’: Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell and Michael B Jordan
Fox finally puts the rumors to rest by officially casting The Fantastic Four.
THR reports the studio is in the final stages of negotiation with Miles Teller for Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara for Invisible Girl, Michael B. Jordan for the Human Torch, and Jamie Bell for The Thing.
Bell is the only name we have yet to hear attached to the project, but he’s a great addition to a promising young cast.
Mara, nearly 31, is the oldest of the group, older than director Josh Trank (Chronicle), who just turned 30.
The film is rumored to be based on the comic “The Ultimate Fantastic Four,” a contemporary update on the Marvel Comics’ 1960s golden age characters and story.
Fox reboots the franchise which consisted of two movies, released in 2005 and 2007, and saw Ioan Gruffudd play Richards, Jessica Alba as Sue Storm/Invisible Girl, Chris Evans as the Johnny Storm and Michael Chiklis as Grimm.
Simon Kinberg, Matthew Vaughn and Gregory Goodman serving as producers.
The Fantastic Four is scheduled for release on June 19, 2015.
