Former Tennessee Titan, Florida State Seminole Todd Williams was found dead in Florida hotel room
A former Florida State Seminole and NFL offensive tackle has been found dead in a Tampa Bay area hotel room.
Todd Williams, age 35, was discovered at the Sarasota Suites hotel where Williams lived. His body was found by his mother, Ozepher Fluker. A sheriff’s office spokesman said there was no evidence of foul play, and that an autopsy will determine the cause of death.
Fluker told the Bradenton Herald that Williams had complained to her of a month-long illness, during which he had suffered vomiting, stomach pain, and an inability to taste.
Sheriff’s spokesman Dave Bristow says they haven’t found anything suspicious, but an autopsy will be performed.
A graduate of Southeast in the Bradenton Florida area, Williams was a redshirt freshman of the 1999 Florida State National Championship team, drafted by the Tennessee Titans in 2003 and played briefly with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Green Bay Packers.
Williams was working as a teacher at Bradenton’s Manatee Y Technological High School at the time of his death.
