Former ‘Jersey Shore’ star, Mike Sorrentino, ‘The Situation’ gets sued by lawyer

When facing a lawsuit, you need a great lawyer in your corner, but happens when it’s your lawyer who’s suing you? Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino of Jersey Shore fame is being sued by his attorney alleging four years of legal bills gone unpaid.

Mike Sorrentino The Situation Jersey ShoreIn addition, Sorrentino’s brother Marc Sorrentino is also being sued by Richard Wolfe for a grand total of $29,000 in unpaid fees dating from 2009 through 2013. TMZ has gained access to the filing, which details exactly what the brothers have racked up.

It’s claimed by Wolfe that the brothers did pay $10,000 of the total amount but have also made numerous failed attempts at paying. This includes a bounced check for $2,000 and a cancelled check for $2,000. It’s unclear whether the brothers will be securing a different high quality attorney to take on their case, but then again there are likely few lawyers who would take them on as clients. How did they get into this mess?

Wolfe has stated that he’s had enough of this back and forth and wants damages rendered for the bad checks as well as the $29,000 he claims he’s still owed. This is the latest in a string of legal messes for Mike, who was accused of bouncing paychecks to his tanning salon employees already in 2014. He’s also been arrested for assault after fighting with his brother, the same one who’s named in the lawsuit.

The tanning salon fiasco led to employees calling the police in an attempt to get paid. The new salon doesn’t seem to be panning out for Mike, considering four employees at the Boca Tanning Club, located in Middletown, NJ, have filed police claims stating that their “bad checks” have led to them bouncing numerous checks and racking up late fees.

Mike’s employees have alleged that they’re each owed somewhere between $100 and $200, which doesn’t bode well for Mike. Relatively low sums may suggest that his financial situation is extremely dire. One of his other brothers, Frank, has told reporters that criminal charges may be filed from the employees, and when that threat was made they were immediately paid.

It’s rumored that Mike was “surprised” to find out his workers phoned the police since “the payroll problem only lasted a few days.” He’s claiming a simple mixup from switching payroll companies, and for now no charges have been filed. His former attorney, on the other hand, is moving forward with the lawsuit.
