‘Forever’ star Alana de la Garza joins ‘Scorpion’ season 2
Scorpion proved to be a quiet surprise hit for CBS and headed into their second season is adding a new cast member in Alana de la Garza.
Deadline reports that Garza is coming over to this show following her run on the now canceled ABC series Forever. She will be playing a role that is key in ensuring that Cabe (Robert Patrick) eventually makes his way back to Team Scorpion.
“De La Garza’s character will succeed Homeland Security Director Merrick (David Fabrizio) who in the Season 1 finale relegated Cabe to a desk job at the Pomona airport, prompting Cabe to quit. The Season 2 opener, slated for September 21, will find Cabe taking a job as a Hollywood tech advisor until he is summoned back by the new head of Homeland Security to reassume his old position as a liaison for the Scorpion team,” the report summarized.
The show follows a group of geniuses brought together to solve challenging threats to society, based on the real life adventures of Walter O’Brien.
Elyes Gabel stars as O’Brien with Katharine McPhee, a “normal” person who helps the team of misfits fit in with the rest of the world. Eddie Kaye Thomas, Ari Stidham, Jadyn Wong and Riley B. Smith also star.
Scorpion return on CBS on Monday, September 21, and will help to kick off the network’s fall season.
