For KING & COUNTRY and Lauren Daigle are teaming up to bring “A for KING & COUNTRY Christmas” to the USF Sun Dome on Tuesday, November 29th, 2016 at 7:00PM. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 16th at 10:00AM. Ticket prices are $75.00 (VIP), $38.00, and $25.00. Additional fees may apply. For KING & COUNTRY is a GRAMMY award winning Christian rock/pop duo who’s members are Australian-American brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone. Both born in Sydney, their family moved to Nashville in 1991 where they were introduced to the music industry. In 2007, they began performing as their own band starting off as ‘Joel & Luke’, and later ‘Austoville’. In 2009, they signed with Warner Music Group and changed their name to ‘for KING & COUNTRY’ after a British battle cry. In 2012, the band exceeded expectations with the release of their debut album,Crave. That year Billboard named them one of their “New Artists to Watch” and American Songwriter called them “Australia’s answer to Coldplay”. The following year they won the New Artist of the Year award at the 2013 GMA Dove Awards. In September 2014, the band released their sophomore album, RUN WILD. LIVE FREE. LOVE STRONG. This album garnered unanimous critical praise and won the Best Contemporary Christian Music Album at the 57thAnnual GRAMMY Awards. The album debuted on iTunes at #1 and spent 17 weeks on the Billboard 200, peaking at No. 13. The band released a deluxe anniversary edition of the album in October 2015 including three new releases.
“A for King & Country Christmas” also features GRAMMY nominated and Billboard Award winning singer/songwriter, Lauren Daigle. Her 2014 debut album, HOW CAN IT BE, reached Gold Record status, dominating the charts since its release. The album logged in more than five weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart, and premiered in the Top 30 on the Billboard 200.
