Florida woman, Marisol Rodriguez, arrested on sex trafficking charges, Devin ‘Smooth’ Dixon at large
A Winter Haven, Florida woman has been arrested and her boyfriend is being sought on human trafficking charges, Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies said.
Deputies arrested Marisol Rodriguez, age 21, after an investigation and interviews with a victim who was being held against her wll and was regularly beaten.
The victim stated she no longer wanted to prostitute herself, which prompted a beating by Rodriguez and a call to the woman’s boyfriend, Devin Dixon, nicknamed ‘Smooth.’
Dixon beat the woman as well and is now being sought by police.
Rodriguez has been charged with one count each of human trafficking and principal to human trafficking, which are both felonies.
She has been booked into the Polk County Jail, where she is being held on $10,500 bond.
Dixon faces charges of human trafficking, false imprisonment, felony battery and battery. Dixon may be in Polk or Hillsborough County, and Hillsborough deputies are helping in the search.
Dixon is a black male, 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds. He may be driving a 2005 Cadillac STS with Florida tag CBZ M17.
