Florida man, Cesar Sayoc identified and arrested for pipe bombs sent to politicians, celebrities, media
The suspect arrested in connection with the pipe bombs and suspicious packages sent to prominent critics of President Trump has been identified as Cesar Sayoc, Jr.

Sayoc, 56, owns a white van covered with pictures and stickers of Trump, including the presidential seal and the insignia of the Republican Party.
The van was seized by officials in Plantation, Florida, and then hauled off to a secure facility. He lives in Aventura, which is about 30 miles south of Plantation.
Sayoc is suspected of having sent at least 12 packages containing crude pipe bombs to former President Barack Obama, former Vice President Joe Biden, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and former US Attorney General Eric Holder. The 11th and 12th packages were intercepted on Friday, and were addressed to Senator Cory Booker and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper Jr.
The first package was delivered to Leftist Democratic donor George Soros on Monday, the office of Florida Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz. who previously served as the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee.
According to online records, Sayoc is a registered Republican, registering with the GOP in Florida in March 2016. Sayoc, who goes by Cesar Altieri Randazzo on Facebook,attended a Donald Trump rally in October 2016.
Sayoc tweeted regularly about his belief that Florida Democrat Andrew Gillum was funded by Soros.
Sayoc has been arrested several times in Broward County, Florida, dating back to 1991, court records show. His most recent arrest in Broward was in 2014. In 2002, he was charged with making a bomb threat in Dade County, Florida. He was sentenced to one year of probation. Prosecutors agreed to withhold adjudication of the felony charge, meaning it was dismissed after he completed the probation in 2003.
Sayoc was arrested on drug charges in 2004. He was accused of possession and sale of steroids, along with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, tampering with evidence, filing fraudulent tax returns, criminal use of personal ID info and possession or unlawful issue of a driver’s license. He pleaded guilty that same year and was sentenced to 18 months of probation.
