Florida Hospital Carrollwood Occupational Health Services opens new clinic

PRESS RELEASE: Florida Hospital Carrollwood Occupational Health Services announces the opening of a newly expanded 6,000 sq. ft. full-service clinic at 7001 N. Dale Mabry Highway Suite 10 in Tampa, Florida. The clinic features seven exam rooms, on-site physical therapy and digital imaging, 24-hour drug testing, workers’ compensation, DOT and NON-DOT physicals and immunizations.

Florida Hospital Carrollwood front entry photoStaffed with a full time, occupational medicine board certified medical director, the clinical team also includes, nurses, medical assistants, imaging technician, physical therapist and case manager. Employers now have the ability to use an online portal to access employee’s work status and limited access to secure medical records. Additionally, the clinic is located on the Florida Hospital Carrollwood campus should additional care be needed.

“Our expanded occupational health clinic represents our strong commitment to provide care to injured employees,” says Joe Johnson, CEO of Florida Hospital Carrollwood. “We have partnered with Florida Hospital Centra Care to expand clinic coverage and ease of access to care throughout the Tampa Bay area.”

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, well-implemented workplace health programs can lead to 25 percent savings each on absenteeism, health care costs, and workers’ compensation and disability management claims costs
