Florida chikungunya cases now at 25
The number of imported, or travel-associated chikungunya cases reported in Florida increased by another seven during the past week, according to the Florida Department of Health.
The number of cases is now 25, with cases being reported in the following counties: Brevard, Broward (5), Clay, Duval, Hillsborough (3), Miami-Dade (7), Orange, Palm Beach (4), Pasco, and Volusia.
Haiti remains the top “country of origin” accounting for 72 percent of the imported cases with 18. In addition, Dominica, Dominican Republic (4), and Martinique (2) were the remaining seven
