First poster, trailer for TNT’s ‘The Alieniest’ with Daniel Bruhl, Luke Evans
TNT released new key art with a trailer to promote their upcoming limited series The Alienist.
The Alienist opens when a series of haunting murders of boy prostitutes grips New York City. Newly appointed police commissioner Theodore Roosevelt (Brian Geraghty) calls upon criminal psychologist Dr. Laszlo Kreizler (Daniel Brühl) and newspaper illustrator John Moore (Luke Evans) to conduct the investigation in secret.
They are joined by Sara Howard (Dakota Fanning), a headstrong secretary determined to become the city’s first female police detective. Using the emerging disciplines of psychology and forensics, this band of social outsiders set out to apprehend one of New York City’s first serial killers.
The limited series also stars Douglas Smith, Matthew Shear, Matt Lintz, Robert Ray Wisdom and Q’orianka Kilcher.

The Alienist premieres across TNT’s television, mobile and digital platforms on Monday, January 22, at 9:00 p.m.(ET/PT).
JUST SOME THOUGHTS…
The Alienist is a crime novel by Caleb Carr first published in 1994 and is the first book in the Kreizler series. It takes place in New York City in 1896, and includes appearances by many famous figures of New York society in that era, including Theodore Roosevelt and J. P. Morgan.
TNT pulled out all of the stops with this amazing cast: Bruhl starred in The Fifth Estate, Captain America Civil War, as well as a great performance in Inglourious Basterds. and Rush.
Evans has a long and impressive resume which includes the Hobbit films, Dracula, the live-action Beauty and the Beast, with performances in Furious 7, The Raven, Anna,The Girl on the Train and Message from the King.
Fanning won over audiences in War of the Worlds and Dreamer over a decade ago with performances in the Twilight franchise, Night Moves, Effie Gray and Brimstone.
