First photo of Jamie Foxx as Electro on ‘Amazing Spider-man 2’ set reveal blue skin and hoodie

Fans may be surprised by the set photos of Jamie Foxx as The Amazing Spider-Man 2‘s villainous Electro have leaked online.

A Batman and Robin Mr. Freeze in a Trayvon Martin hoodie was one description to summarize the character’s obvious transformation. The odd appearance is likely the transitional appearance of Electro before fulfilling the description Foxx gave back in 2012.

“They want to have it more grounded and not as comic book-y, so it won’t be green and yellow. They want to try new things, like a liquid rubber and things like that, and there are all these bolts and stuff in my arms when they are hanging me upside down and trying to figure out what happened.”

The mutated Electro appears to be more primed for the X-Men film than the vintage Electro with the green and yellow or the ultimate rubber suited villain Foxx will likely evolve into during the film.

The film also stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Dane DeHaan, Shailene Woodley, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper, and Sally Field.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens in 3D on May 2, 2014.
