First photo Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, Sam Claflin as Finnick in ‘Hunger Games Catching Fire’

Wednesday “Hunger Games” fans got their first official look at Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Finnick (Sam Claflin) in the form of an Entertainment Weekly cover and photo inside.

Finnick is a former Hunger Games victor from District 4. Katniss is initially thrown off by his cocky, flirtatious manner, but she and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) eventually warm up to him as the tale goes on. (synopsis below)

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens November 22. Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Donald Sutherland, and Jena Malone lead an all-star cast.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
