First ‘Blade Runner 2049’ trailer, photos of Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford
The first trailer for Blade Runner 2049, the long awaited sequel to the classic 1982 film has finally arrived. Directed by Denis Villeneuve (Sicario), Ryan Gosling will join Harrison Ford, who returns as Deckard.
Gosling‘s character, mysteriously named K, is chasing after a secret in a future world that’s even more of a dystopia than the one Harrison Ford‘s Deckard occupied 30 years earlier. The two ultimately cross paths in an unexpected way, as is revealed in this first teaser trailer.
Fans get a good look at the tone of Villeneuve’s take on Blade Runner with foggy streets and silhouettes, as well as a images paying homage back to Ridley Scott‘s original. Check out the first trailer for Blade Runner 2049 below
Scripted by Michael Green (Logan, Alien: Covenant) and Hampton Fancher (the original Blade Runner) with cinematography by the Oscar-nominated Roger Deakins, the cast includes Mackenzie Davis, Jared Leto, Dave Bautista, Carla Juri, Barkhad Abdi, and Robin Wright.

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
