Fathom Events credits faith-based films ‘Drop Box’ ‘Four Blood Moons’ ‘Patterns of Evidence’ biggest quarter ever

The leader in alternative entertainment, Fathom Events has been providing U.S. audiences nationwide with one-of-a-kind cinema experiences, delivering exclusive showings of major arts and entertainment, music, sporting events, original programming and more on the big screen.

Three faith-based events “The Drop Box,” which ranks third amongst Fathom’s top performing events to date, together with “Four Blood Moons,” and “Patterns of Evidence” helped to drive Fathom’s first quarter of 2015 to be their most successful Q1 yet.

These events, which were presented on average in nearly 650 movie screens nationwide, drew in approximately 3.5 times more attendees than all other genres and attracted more than 600,000 theatergoers in the first quarter of 2015. The overwhelming success and interest in these events has encouraged Fathom to put a greater emphasis on developing ongoing faith-based content offerings.

Four Blood Moons movie posterAs part of this focus, the company plans to announce a broad strategic partnership with leading faith based marketing agency Allied Faith and Family, during next week’s VARIETY event: “PURPOSE: The Family Entertainment & Faith-Based Summit.”

“We believe in creating unique cinematic events to not only bring great content to our audiences, but also to develop a sense of community,” said Fathom Events CEO, John Rubey. “Theater-goers who are drawn to faith-based programs really embrace that sense of community, and we will continue to offer content owners the ability to engage their fans with high-quality, thought-provoking cinema events.”

The Drop Box movie poster“Our friends at Fathom Events are providing a world class platform for faith-oriented content which marks an exciting new step in its continued ascent,” added Allied Faith & Family partner Tom Allen. “We look forward to helping them reach a larger audience of interested and engaged consumers in order to maximize this unique and timely distribution solution.”

The strength of the faith-centered community is evidenced by new and innovative partnerships that extend beyond the traditional core religious audience. On September 28, 2015, Fathom Events is partnering with nationally renowned radio celebrity Delilah and Excel Entertainment to present “Just Let Go: A Night of Forgiveness” in theaters across the country.

The film event will showcase the retaliatory tendencies that surface within the dark corners of the human heart, and the hope, love and peace that are possible when one forgives and lets go. Audiences will watch as two men’s lives are changed forever following a tragic accident, and the difficult choice by one to see through the darkness with forgiveness.

More information including ticketing will be announced later this summer.
