‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ begins filming in the UK
Production is underway in the United Kingdom on the Harry Potter series from Warner Bros.: Fantastic Beasts And Where to Find Them.
Director David Yates helmed the final four Potter films and returns with Fantastic Beasts, set in the same wizarding world years ahead of the previous works.
Eddie Redmayne (The Theory Of Everything) stars as the “magizoologist” Newt Scamander, who stops in New York following his travels to find and document magical creatures.
The cast includes Katherine Waterston (Inherent Vice) as Tina; Alison Sudol (Transparent) as Tina’s sister, Queenie; Dan Fogler as Jacob; Ezra Miller (Trainwreck, Flash in the new DCU films) as Credence; Samantha Morton as Mary Lou and Colin Farrell (True Detective) as Graves.
JK Rowling is credited as the screenwriter, inspired by her character Newt Scamander’s Hogwarts textbook, Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.
Harry Potter producer David Heyman returns here, with Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram.
Warners set the film for release in 3D and IMAX on November 18, 2016.
The almost certain success of the film will usher in atleast two more films, revealed in early news out of Warner.
