Family Guy: Brian Griffin is dead, fans respond

After a run of since 1999 of  being  Peter Griffin’s best friend and having numerous shenanigan-laden escapades with Stewie Griffin, Brian the dog hit by a car and was killed last night on the latest episode of Family Guy.

brianThe unexpected death of Brian has left a bad taste in the mouth of many Family Guy fans as they expressed outrage and disgust with the decision:

“Bad move..Brian and Stewie are the two most interesting characters. Family Guy has Jumped the Shark”

“Brian dies. And this show officially dies with it.”

“Officially boycotting Family Guy! Who does FOX think they are killing off Brian. Worst move ever. It will never be the same. RIP Family Guy.”

“Whos leg do you have to hump to get Brian back?!?!?!”

One commentor on the Family Guy Facebook page wrote what many must be thinking– “Why wasn’t it meg!? Nobody likes meg!!”

However, one poster has hope saying, “He ain’t dead. He’s coming back. Stewie’s making a time machine and changing everything.”

RIP Brain Griffin pages have been cropping up on the social media site, some with more than 100,000 likes in the past 24 hours.

RIP Brian Griffin

1999-2013
