‘Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ add Daniel Bruhl, Emily Van Camp

Daniel Bruhl and Emily VanCamp are in talks to join Falcon and the Winter Soldier, one of four planned Marvel Studios series for Disney+, which is eyeing a release in August 2020.

Both Bruhl and VanCamp were in Captain America:Civil War, and VanCamp also appeared in Captain America: Winter Soldier.

VanCamp portrayed Sharon Carter, the niece of Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell), and Bruhl portrayed the villainous Zemo.

The pair join Anthony Mackie (Falcon/Sam Wilson) and Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes) as the titular duo on the Disney+ show.

The Disney Company’s streaming service, Disney+, will launch on November 12.

Kari Skogland will direct the six-part miniseries, which is eyeing an August 2020 debut, a source told The Wrap.

The upcoming series will likely focus on Sam Wilson aka Falcon taking on the mantle of Captain America; at the end of Avengers: Endgame, an elder Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) hands Wilson his shield.

“These will be major storylines, set within the MCU, with ramifications that will be felt both through the other Disney+ series we’re producing and our features on the big screen,” Feige said at an investor event in April that unveiled Disney+. “A post-‘Endgame’ MCU will be extremely different and extremely focused on Disney+ tying into our future movies.”

Stan’s opened up a bit on his take on how things panned out and specifically, Cap’s decision to stay in the past with Peggy and leave behind his best friend.

According to the actor, Bucky was actually happy for Steve, as it was the life that he felt his buddy deserved after all he’d been through.

“He was happy for him, obviously. This man has fought for this woman for a really long time. In my opinion, he was happy,” Stan shared.

Stan was at MCM London over the weekend and during a panel was asked when Bucky would be able to “let his hair down” and he replied jokingly and possibly hinted that the Winter Soldier would be getting a new haircut: “Listen, the whole weave thing it’s just, it’s way too, I don’t know. Maybe he has a haircut. I don’t know, I don’t know. I don’t know anything. I don’t know yet. We’ll see.”
