Fake News: Marco Rubio questions Broward County’s recount tactics, NY Mag writes hit piece about Democrats trying to steal the election
Florida Senator Marco Rubio is now the target of the fake news machine, with the NY Mag’s Intelligencer post “Marco Rubio: Democrats Are Trying to Steal Florida Senate Race by Counting All the Votes.”
Shocking right?
“All the votes”? Why would Rubio say that?
He didn’t.
After seven paragraphs and three embedded tweets, the author gets to Rubio, including his tweets as follows:
“In response, Florida senator Marco Rubio decided to accuse the Democratic Party of conspiring with Broward County election officials to illicitly overturn the will of the electorate, and illegitimately install Bill Nelson into the U.S. Senate.
Don’t get lost here, Rubio is pointed out the questionable recount tactics in South Florida, raising awareness to the open door for lawsuit and shady track record of the election supervisors there.
Here’s how the author summarized this:
Rubio offered no evidence to support the claim that Democratic lawyers have been very clear that they don’t want every vote to count, and are merely seeking to win the election by any means necessary (even if that involves not counting all the votes), nor did he specify what “ongoing” violations of the law Broward County election officials were engaged in (notably, the “elections supervisor with a history of incompetence” was appointed by former Republican governor (and Rubio ally) Jeb Bush).
Note the “not counting all the votes” came from the author, that was NEVER said by Rubio. Moreover, he DID give a link to the IMPROPER destruction of ballots in 2016 and the lawsuit against Brian Snipes: that link again, HERE.
Rubio went back to twitter:
“When did I ask anyone to stop counting? And how is criticizing repeated election failures by same election official a fight to stop vote counting? Why can’t #BrowardCounty elections do what 65 of 67 counties did, count all votes in timely way & in compliance with #Florida law?”
Valid points from Senator Rubio and shameful reporting to justify this senseless and manipulative “stolen election” tactic from the left.
NOTE: The author also has a paragraph about the “disenfranchised” black voters, usually the low numbers of felons getting their voting rights back as a mean to say the evil Rick Scott was purposely forcing the slow process. Maybe now that voters approved of Amendment 4 this argument will go away.
