‘Face Off’ season 5 moving forward at SyFy
Syfy is bringing Face Off back for a fifth season this summer, the network announced March 18. The make-up competition, reality show examines special effects make-up artists.
“Face Off continues to prove itself as a ratings hit, earning critical and viewer accolades alike, and we are proud to bring the series back for another stunning season,” said Mark Stern, President of Original Content, Syfy, and Co-Head of Original Content, Universal Cable Productions, in a statement Monday.
Production on Season 5 will start next month with a summer 2013 premiere planned.
In its fourth season, Face Off is averaging 1.6 million viewers 18-19 and 2.7 million total viewers in Live+7.
The show’s Season 4 finale is scheduled to air March 26.
This is awesome news; thanks for sharing Stephen! I’m a huge fan of this show, so it’s great to hear another season is in the works. I won’t be able to watch this season live, just like most of my shows because of my late work schedule at DISH, so I’ll record it to my DVR. Luckily my DISH Hopper does give me 2,000 hours of entertainment to store, so I’ll have plenty of room for the new season this summer among all of the other shows I’ll be recording as well!
