Actress Emily Brooks may be making a splash in 2014 with the lead female role in director Daric Gates’ The Appearing.
“Well, it’s basically a film surround by good and evil, just like the world. And as human beings we all are faced with temptations,” Brooks explained, describing the premise of The Appearing. The official Synopsis is below.
“This film is about those temptations and what happens when you do take that bite from the apple…when you do let temptation get the best of you and the aftermath of it.”
Her character is torn between the two worlds, light and dark and she hopes the message of God’s love reaches the viewer. “Everybody makes mistakes…at the end of the day God will forgive you if you are truly sorry for your sins.”
Described by her director as “incredible,” Brooks discusses working with co-star Will Wallace and Gates to bring the film to life.
“Daric is amazing! He’s by far one of the best directors I’ve ever worked with,” she says of Gates, praising his confidence in her, giving her freedom and latitude to really blossom in the role.
