Elizabeth Warren on the Electoral College, favorite Bible verse and reparations

While the Presidential roll-out of Robert “Beto” O’Rourke, and subsequent appearances revealed that this guy has no policy ideas, which reveals their is really nothing to him as a candidate, Massachusetts Senator and candidate, Elizabeth Warren is chock full of policy ideas, albeit quite misguided. In fact, other than Andrew Yang, Warren is really laying out her agenda.

At a recent CNN town hall, Sen Warren was crystal clear on her views of eliminating the Electoral College, something she has consistently said over the years. This is really nothing new, as the Electoral College has been under attack for a very long time; however, rarely if ever vocalized by a presidential candidate.

Sen. Warren said to a loud applause, “My view is that every vote matters and the way we can make that happen is that we can have national voting and that means get rid of the electoral college — and every vote counts.” This comes as the National Popular Vote gains steam across the country, despite a true misunderstanding of the genius of the Electoral College by Ms. Warren and the audience.

Another thing Sen. Warren discussed in a non-committal way, albeit hinting of being in favor is the issue of reparations. “I think it’s time for us to have the conversation. We need to address the fact that in this country, we built great fortunes and wealth on the backs of slaves and we need to address that head-on — we need to have that national conversation,” the Massachusetts Democrat said.

Lastly, she was asked about the role of faith in her life, public and private. She mentioned her favorite story of the Bible — The Sheep and the Goats. Their were two lessons important to the Senator–The first is there is God. There is value in every single human being. And the second is that we are “called to action”.

Interesting.

It wasn’t that long ago that Warren and 43 other Senators voted against S.311 – Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, a bill that would have prohibited “a health care practitioner from failing to exercise the proper degree of care in the case of a child who survives an abortion or attempted abortion.”

This is just a sampling of the town hall–Warren also has plenty of ideas, some good, most bad concerning the economy, liberty and foreign policy. Watch the town hall HERE.
