Edward Snowden lied and ‘asked’ NSA colleagues for login passwords to gain access to more classified data
Former NSA analyst Edward Snowden is under attack again after new reports that he approached 25 co-workers to give him login keys and passwords to give him access to classified material.

Sources with knowledge of US government investigations into the leaks tells Reuters that 20 to 25 co-workers at the NSA regional operations center in Hawaii gave Snowden their information when he told them they were needed so he could fulfill tasks as a computer systems administrator.
Reuters reports it is not clear whether the employees broke any rules by offering Snowden their passwords that gave him routes to information he did not have authorization to access.
Critics are claiming that this should cast further scrutiny on the security procedures in place at the intelligence agency.
Reuters reported last month that the NSA failed to install the most up-to-date, anti-leak software at the Hawaii site before Snowden went to work there and downloaded highly classified documents belonging to the agency and its British counterpart, Government Communication Headquarters.
During the summer it was reported that Snowden exceeded his authorized access to computer systems and smuggled out Top Secret documents on a USB drive — a thumb-sized data storage device banned from use on secret military networks.
“He should not have been able to do either of those things” without setting off alarm bells, said one private sector IT security specialist who has worked on U.S. government classified networks. He spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivities of his current employer.
