Easy Ways to Make Your Next Vacation Extra Special

Life is tough. Many of us spend most of the year looking forward to, or even counting the days until, our next holiday. Some holidays are already incredibly special. You may be visiting a dream destination, getting married abroad or planning a surprise proposal, while others are just relaxing breaks away. Either way, a few luxurious touches can easily make all that waiting truly worth it.

Start your vacation as soon as you leave the house by hiring transport such a party bus rental to take you to the airport. Party bus doesn’t have to mean bus full of alcohol. A party bus Toronto and similar can offer a relaxing limo ride to the airport, fully stocked with champagne and treats without the hassle of getting your luggage to the airport or worrying about huge airport parking costs. This could be the perfect way to start your holiday.

Be Organised

Nothing is less special than rushing around, panicking you’ve forgotten something and being late for check in. So, make sure you are organised. Pack as soon as you can, make sure your passports and other documents are ready, and set off in plenty of time. If you’re not hiring transport to the airport, consider packing the car the night before if you are leaving early.

Private Accommodation

Staying in a hotel or resort can offer plenty of luxury and you will be well looked after. But, staying in a private villa can be extra special. Most villas have a pool and great facilities. Imagine yourself spending an evening by the pool, eating fresh, home-cooked food, and sipping a glass of champagne without the sounds of other guests running around. Perfection.

Arrange a Special Welcome

Whether you are staying in a resort, small hotel, or private villa, there will be a manager or member of staff you can speak to about arranging a welcome basket for you and your group. Most places offer this in some form but don’t be afraid to make special requests if there is something specific you would like.

Make a Wish List

Sit down with your travel companion and make a list of all the things you would like to do while you are away. For some things, it might be possible to book online before you leave, but either way, this is a great way to get excited and into the holiday mood a little earlier.

Don’t Go Straight Back to Normal

One thing that can ruin the last few days of any holiday is the idea of returning to work as soon as you get home. Where possible, try to book an extra day or two off so you can return to real life slowly and extend the holiday mood for as long as possible.

If you are planning an extra special holiday get in touch with both your accommodation managers and airline who may be able to help set up a few extra touches. This can be especially useful if you are planning to surprise your other half. Remember, holidays can be very personal so don’t feel you need to do everything on this list. What’s special to you might be something totally different and that is fine. Have a great time, whatever you chose to do with your break.
