Dwayne Boyd talks ‘The Walking Dead’ ‘The Hunger Games’ ‘Sleepy Hollow’ and advise for actors

EXCLUSIVE: Dwayne Boyd may not be a familiar name, but it’s very likely he’s been on many of your favorite shows or in your favorite films.

Dwayne BoydBoyd has pursued an acting career after his seven years in the US Army and he’s landed roles in The Walking Dead, The Hunger Games, Sleepy Hollow, Parental Guidance and The Odd Life of Timothy Green (just to name a few).

He took time away to speak with The Global Dispatch about life on these sets.

“It’s really fun because you get to experience the production from a different stand point of watching actors prepare,” Boyd began noting his experiences working with David Morrissey from Walking Dead and Jennifer Garner on Timothy Green. (Photos below)

“…you walk away from it and realize ‘Hey! Wow! This is a great experience’ It’s an honor to be around such talent, people who are professional and passionate…”

Boyd explains some of the different approaches on set, with directors who are open to improv, “some directors have a quicker pace, some slower.”

He then explains his own work, 4 Minutes, which he wrote and directed about speeddating and concludes with an update on his work with Premier Actors’ Network (PAN) and his upcoming films.
