Drone Manhunt In Progress, first official ‘drone hunt’ in US history

Like something out of a dystopian sci-fi novel, the State of California and Federal government are currently hunting down a man using heat seeking drones. That man is ex LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) cop Christopher Dorner – who some say is a maniac killer on the loose and others say is a whistle blower who attempted to uncover corruption in the LAPD and is now paying the price.

Zerohedge posted this:

Authorities offer $1 million reward for information leading to arrest of ex-LAPD officer Christopher Dorner

We were hoping to evade coverage of the latest mass distraction du jour, that of the former LAPD officer Chris Dorner who recently went rogue following a three man murder spree and who has vowed to kill again as per his 6,000 word manifesto, but the US government had made it impossible following confirmation that the search for Dorner is now the first official drone-hunt in US history.

The Express reports:

Yesterday, as a task force of 125 officers, some riding Snowcats in the rugged terrain, continued their search, it was revealed that Dorner has become the first human target for remotely-controlled airborne drones on US soil.

A senior police source said: “The thermal imaging cameras the drones use may be our only hope of finding him. On the ground, it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack.”

Asked directly if drones have already been deployed, Riverside Police Chief Sergio Diaz, who is jointly leading the task force, said: “We are using all the tools at our disposal.”

The use of drones was later confirmed by Customs and Border Patrol spokesman Ralph DeSio, who revealed agents have been prepared for Dorner to make a dash for the Mexican border since his rampage began.

He said: “This agency has been at the forefront of domestic use of drones by law enforcement. That’s all I can say at the moment.”

And once Dorner is found by remote-control, it will be again up to drones to secure his “elimination.” If for no other reason than to perform a ground test of just how the recently enacted drone-facilitated extermination of US citizens sits with various instances of the US judicial system.

It is interesting to me how soon after the White House determines that drones can legally hunt and kill American Citizens, that we have an actual manhunt in progress.  One can easily wonder who the real Domestic Terrorist is in this case.

It used to be that when a man was presumed guilty of a crime, all efforts were made to capture the person and put him on trial to face a jury of his peers – now it seems our government is just as satisfied to be judge, jury and executioner… with no trial or due process necessary.

In the meantime, LAPD has been shooting up people’s cars, searching homes and cars without a warrant, and basically doing whatever the hell they want to – all in the name of  capturing one person.
In fact, I find it humorous that they are placing all kinds of guards and patrols on the border to make sure Dorner doesn’t leave the country, and yet they cannot stop thousands of illegal aliens from coming into the US!

To prevent further mishaps of LAPD shooting up vehicles suspected of containing Mr. Dorner, CA residents have begun placing placards on their vehicles like the one shown.

It’s pretty scary when American citizens going about their lives, are at more risk from being assasinated by the police, than the risk that they face from Christopher Dorner himself.
I was thoroughly surprised to read the comment that the police chief, Mr. Beck, gave to the press… after two innocent hispanic women suffered an attempted assasination, driving a vehicle that didn’t even resemble Dorner’s, they obviously would have pulled their vehicle over had there been any warning lights, sirens, loud speakers etc. Mr. Beck said to the press…”my concern is that Christopher Dorners actions will resurrect the ghosts of the past in the LAPD.”
Unless the articles that I read left out a portion of his statement, Mr. Beck, made no apologies and gave no assurance to the southern CA people that they didn’t need to fear LAPD more than Christopher Dorner.
I sold my 2004 grey Nissan Titan to a black man…I thought about calling and warning him…he was a small man..half Dorner’s height and weight…so shouldn’t be a problem…but wait…they mistook an elderly woman and her daughter, and a white guy for Dorner so who knows???
Just maybe, Dorner burned his vehicle to protect the innocent.
I am Not a Dorner fan, but maybe this guy SNAPPED because he saw severe injustice and felt helpless to change it.
