Donald Trump weighs in on vaccine-autism link, later resorts to name-calling
Billionaire real estate mogul, Donald Trump took to Twitter Thursday after the release of the new Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report on the new, increased estimates on autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Mr. Trump tweets: “If I were President I would push for proper vaccinations but would not allow one time massive shots that a small child cannot take – AUTISM.”
Of course, the theory that Trump subscribes to has been debunked over and over, in fact, one infectious disease expert told me in an interview on the Outbreak News This Week Radio Show last week that there are at least 20 studies that specifically confirm that there is no association between vaccines and autism.
Trump did get blasted on Twitter for his comment- many comments were crude and obnoxious and I clearly don’t condone that; however, Trump’s comment on Twitter comes on the exact same day where researchers at the Autism Center of Excellence at the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine concluded that this may all occur during the prenatal developmental stages, long before one vaccine is administered.
Unfortunately for Trump, he lost his composure and responded to the negative tweets with name calling this morning: “To all haters and losers: I am NOT anti-vaccine, but I am against shooting massive doses into tiny children. Spread shots out over time.”.

Why does anyone bother quoting or paying attention to this glory hound?
This is a man who ran a casino into bankruptcy. Truly a rare talent.
US vaccination Rates: 92%
The United states has both the highest rate of Autism by percentage of population, and the highest growing rate of autism. Yet a substantial number of Americans don’t vaccinate relative to the rest of the world. If it was vaccinations that cause Autism, why do the countries below not have a higher rate of Autism? Being a good businessman does not mean Donald Trump has a clue about
medical science.
