Director Bryan Singer releases latest ‘X-Men Days of Future Past’ photo featuring Jennifer Lawrence, Mystique’s ‘leg’

Bryan Singer has released another new image from X-Men: Days Of Future Past, giving us our first look of one of the film’s action sequences and one of their stars, well, sort of.

The image shows a powerful leg from Mystique to the throat of a man, possibly just a “goon.”

The will is based on the famous comic book arc with a few changes. Wolverine will be traveling from the original trilogy’s timeline to the timeline from the X-Men: First Class to warn them of the dark future. This future is controlled by giant robots called Sentinels created by Trask Industries, headed by Peter Dinklage’s Trask, which hunt down and execute mutants.

Mystique, played by Jennifer Lawrence in X-Men: First Class, joined Magneto’s newly formed brotherhood, so fans can deduce her actions are malicious.

James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence all star with Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin, Hugh Jackman from the first trilogy.

X-Men: Days of Future Past opens May 16, 2014.
