‘Die Hardest’ aka ‘Die Hard 6’ may wait as Jai Courtney heads candidates for ‘Terminator Genesis’ role
A sequel to A Good Day to Die Hard, rumored to be titled Die Hardest, may have even more hurdles as Jai Courtney is reportedly a finalist for the highly coveted role as Kyle Reece in the new Terminator reboot.

Jai Courtney, right, may be going from the Die Hard franchise to battling Terminators in the new film
Terminator: Genesis will star Jason Clarke and Emilia Clarke as John and Sarah Connor, but the role of Kyle Reece remains in the air.
Deadlne reports that Courtney and Boyd Holbrook are the two “finalists” for the role.
Reese was played by Michael Biehn in the original Terminator film franchise and Star Trek Into Darkness star Anton Yelchin played the role in 2009’s Terminator Salvation which starred Christian Bale and Sam Worthington.
The story of the sixth Die Hard film will reportedly begin in New York, before heading to Tokyo as the main backdrop.
“It is extremely faithful to the franchise and characters and is a natural progression. It’s also a very plausible storyline,” writer Ben Trebilcook said.
No plot details have been released at this time for Genesis. Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to play a role, but may not be the only Terminator model featured.
Terminator: Genesis arrives in theaters July 1, 2015.
