This news was confirmed by multiple crew members for the Showtime drama on Twitter, and reportedly some of the first scenes were show from inside a studio rather than out on some actual location. While Michael C. Hall has very little communication with the general public, Jennifer Carpenter has been hyping up the start of filming for quite some time, and even went as far as to promise that shooting would, as expected, take place all hours of the day.

Most of the actual details on the season are being kept under wraps save for some guest stars (Charlotte Rampling, Sean Patrick Flanery) and the notion that LaGuerta’s death is indeed going to be addressed in a very big way.
“Dexter” is rumored to possibly be headed into the last season.
