Democrat operative Jackson Cosko arrested for ‘doxxing’ GOP Senators
U.S. Capitol Police arrested Jackson Cosko, the man they believe revealed the personal information of Republican senators during the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing for Christine Blasey Ford and Brett Kavanaugh last week.
Cosko, 27, is now charged with making public restricted personal information, witness tampering, threats in interstate communications, unauthorized access of a government computer, identity theft, second degree burglary, and unlawful entry.
He has been a legislative correspondent for Senator Maggie Hassan (D-NH), a press assistant for Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA). He bills himself on LinkedIn as a “Democratic Political Professional.”
The doxxing story never got much attention during the hearing – more below.
UPDATE: Cosko snuck into Hassan’s office, threatened other staffer he’d leak more info — READ HERE
Three members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Mike Lee and Orrin Hatch, both of Utah, had their personal information, including their phone numbers and home addresses, posted on their respective Wikipedia pages shortly after each questioned Kavanaugh at Thursday’s hearing.
Cosko was also listed last month on a letter as a staff contact in the office of Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, Texas Democrat.
Jackson Lee has been an outspoken opponent of Judge Kavanaugh, and sat in on last week’s hearing. She caused a stir last week when she handed a note to the lawyers for Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who has upended Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation process with allegations of a sexual assault in 1982.
