Delbert Belton murderer’s brother, Jahvory Kinard, plea bargins in assault case
The brother of one of the murderers of a World War II has reached a plea deal with authorities in a separate assault case. Jahvory Kinard, 19, worked with Spokane County prosecutors to serve thirty-one months in jail, eighteen months in community custody for robbery and assault.
Kinard will be returning to court on Wednesday to officially enter a plea in a different case. In January, the man met a woman at a Wendy’s to make a drug deal. Police report that $900 in prescription pain pills were part of the transaction.
According to court documents Kinard tried to rob the woman, she fought back and that’s when police say Kinard shot the woman multiple times, once in the chest. Police say the woman drove to another nearby fast food business where “a friend” dumped her at the hospital. The woman survived the injuries.
Kinard lied to investigators, claiming he was playing video games when the shooting happened. Detectives however found a nine-millimeter semi automatic pistol under a bathroom sink where Kinard was arrested. Detectives also found a bulletproof vest, ammunition and a lot of cash in the same apartment.
Jahvory Kinard is the older brother of Kenan Adams-Kinard. Kenan, who along with Demetrius Glenn, was arrested and charged with murdering 88-year old WWII veteran Delbert Belton last August. Police have continued to call this a random beating despite Glenn and Adams-Kinard admitting they were buying drugs from Belton. More on the Belton case HERE
Jahvory will be in a Spokane county court room Friday to face formal charges.
