‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ clip, trailer highlight tension between humans and apes
The final trailer and the first clip for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has arrived online and gives fans a better and deeper look at the new film in the popular franchise.
It’s been ten years after the first film and Caesar leads the apes in a peaceful and organized manner. In the interview with Dispatch Radio writers Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa confirmed that Caesar is a father with a family, the apes are writing and teaching the younger apes as the humans have been decimated by the simian flu.
Andy Serkis recently spoke about the ape community, “They are resourceful, they can build aqueducts, they have plentiful food supplies, they respect each other as different species: gorilla, orangutan, chimpanzee can all speak equally and communicate equally. Until the arrival of human beings…”
“Apes don’t want war” the theme in the trailer before Koda creates chaos. Koda’s deceitful behavior is revealed in depth in the first clip – check it out below. In the other clip Caesar meets with the humans offering some advice, “Go!”
Director Matt Reeves takes over for Dawn and star Keri Russell praises the Cloverfield director, ““He’s such a good fit for this. Matt has such a vulnerable sensibility and is interested in intricate, character-driven pieces, and I think that’s what he laid into this movie.”
Dawn stars Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, Andy Serkis, Gary Oldman, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Judy Greer.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes opens in 3D on July 11th.

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species
