Dave Matthews postpones Caravan stop due to Hurricane Irene
DMB EXAMINER: The Dave Matthews Band has had to postpone their caravan stop in Governor’s Island, New York amid fears of Hurricane Irene. The concert series was scheduled for this weekend August 26 – 28. They have announced that they will postpone Saturday and Sunday’s shows and concert goers with tickets for those days will be able to get in today, Friday August 26th.
Hurricane Irene is projected to hit New York on Sunday as a Category 1 hurricane. DMB has promised to return to Governor’s Island for two more concert series after Irene passes.
DMB’s next stop on the caravan is The Gorge in George, Washington from September 2nd – 4th .
