‘Dark Knight Rises’ actress Joey King joins ‘Flash’ season 3 as Magenta

Fargo and Independence Day: Resurgence actress Joey King will appear in the third episode of The Flash‘s third season as Magenta, according to reports from Comicbook.com.

Kid Flash Wally West The Flash season 3 posterCreated by Marv Wolfman and George Perez in the pages of New Teen Titans, Magenta had a close relationship with Wally West (aka Kid Flash), a role played by Keiynan Lonsdale in the upcoming season. Her abilities with metal were tied to her mental state, leading Wally to anger her on one occasion in an attempt to get a bomb out of Keystone City.

Considering that episode three will likely take place inside the Flashpoint timeline, it is possible some of Wally’s comic book past with Magenta, they first met as children, may transfer over to his TV counterpart. It’s also possible she will be part of the new Rogues’ Gallery that appears to be emerging.

Comicbook.com speculates casting King, whose profile is on the rise, suggests she may play an ongoing role in the season.

Grant Gustin headlines the popular comic book TV show which has added Todd Lasance as a mysterious speedster, likely the villain Black Racer, Susan Walters as Dr. Carla Tannhauser, Caitlin’s mother and Harry Potter star Tom Felton, who will play Julian Dorn.

Flashpoint is based on Barry going back in time to save his mother, altering time for the entire DC Universe, not just his life. The SDCC teaser trailer footage confirms Barry’s mom is alive, his father (John Wesley Shipp) is not in prison. Neither West, father (Jesse L Martin) Iris (Candice Patton) know Barry and Kid Flash is the hero in town as Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) is the speedster. Carlos Valdes plays Cisco, a very powerful tech guru, almost Lex Luthor like and Barry is quickly thrown into a new problem of restoring the correct timeline.

The Flash season 3 begins on October 4, 2016.
