Daniel Radcliffe confirms Igor’s hump for ‘Frankenstein,’ a ‘dark adventure’

In the wake of his “Harry Potter” career Daniel Radcilffe continues to grow his resume with various films and stage work. Up soon is a role as Igor in a new “Frankenstein” adaptation.

“There are so many Frankenstein stories out there. It’s like Max Landis has sewn together the dead corpses of other Frankenstein films, books and mythologies to make this,” he tells Newsday. “Igor gets a backstory, which we’ve never seen before, and the relationship between him and Dr. Frankenstein is more level. A lot of it is just Victor going insane and me trying to drag him back from the edge. But, yeah, it’s a really good dark adventure movie.”

The early photo from the film reveal a handsome, long-haired Radcliffe, but fans keep obsessively asking about a hump and if there will be one in the new Landis film.

“There will. Not for the whole film, though, so I’ll leave that to your imagination.”

“X-Men: First Class” star James McAvoy plays the titular scientist and the star admires the works of McAvoy as he tries to develop his own skills.

“I like playing weird characters,” he says, laughing during his City Times interview. “I can only base things on the type of films I would want to see or the type of stuff that I would want to go to. That’s how I make my decisions.”

“Sherlock‘s” Andrew Scott plays Roderick while “Downton Abbey” star Jessica Brown Findlay stars as Lorelei in the film directed by Paul McGuigan.
