Dalina Nicholas, mother allows child to be sexually abused for drugs, agrees to plea bargain with police

A 36-year-old Jacksonville Beach woman faces up to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to four counts of child neglect.

Authorities say Dalina Nicholas repeatedly allowed her 6-year-old daughter to be sexually abused in exchange for drugs and money.

The Florida Times-Union reports Thursday Nicholas agreed to testify against four other people charged in the case. She won’t be sentenced until those trials conclude. As part of Wednesday’s plea deal, a charge of sexual battery was dropped against Nicholas.

In March 2012 a homeless man flagged down a police officer and told him a child was being molested in a nearby home. The man said he’d been to the home before to use drugs and had seen several men having sex with the child.Nicholas’ attorney says his client doesn’t understand the girl was being abused because of drug and mental health issues.

It’s likely that she will be made to undergo the appropriate inpatient drug rehab programs in Florida as she awaits trial.

The abuse had been ongoing for about two years as Nicholas accepted $20 from a man and told her daughter to get naked and lay on a living room mattress so the man could have oral sex with her, police said.

The witness, according to police, said the girl had confided in him that she was being sexually abused and asked him to ‘help her make it stop’.

Quinn Brooks, 57, and Ryan Harrover, 34, have been charged with sexual battery and lewd or lascivious molestation. John Hagans, 48, and Norman Thompson, 52, have been charged with sexual battery.

The girl was taken into custody and is now in the care of relatives.

This went on for two years! This case and those of accused pedophiles like Sylvain Kustyan, Ariel Castro, Jerry Sandusky, etc. highlight the urgency to stop these predators ASAP BEFORE they have years in which to abuse our innocent children. Kustyan has been formally charged with two counts each of 1st Degree Sodomy and Sexual Abuse of a ten-year-old little boy. Kustyan fled the US and is now a fugitive from the law and is thought to be in Europe. The others have finally been caught. Since the recidivism rate is virtually 100% among pedophiles, please help us catch Kustyan!
