Costumed fans came for Tampa Comic Con excitement, Cosplay Photos
Fans dressed up have made the news of comic convention as often as the guests themselves. This Sunday’s Tampa Bay Comic Con was no exception.
Sure there were lines to meet Ren & Stimpy co-creator Bob Camp or two of the zombies from The Walking Dead, but two Jokers, two War Machines and adorable dressed up children stopped guests in their tracks for photo ops.
“Wow! That’s commitment,” one fan announced as another added “That’s amazing”, describing a classic Joker in a lavender suit equipped with a water squirting lapel flower.
The Heroes Alliance was on-hand to emcee the costume contest featuring dozens of adults and children. The Alliance auctioned off a giant Captain Amercia: The First Avenger poster to raise $150 for St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital.
Tampa Bay Comic Con has proved to be so successful that the next show (March, 2012) will be expanded to a full weekend.
“We have Jim Steranko and Mike Grell,” show organizer Stephen announced as the March 3-4 dates have been secured.
