Cornelius Bell arrested in connection with murder of Naressa Turner

A Shoreview man has been indicted in connection with the homicide of Naressa Turner, according to court documents filed in Ramsey County District Court.

Cornelius Bell, age 24, has four felony charges relating to the death of Turner, who was only 20 when she was fatally gunned down in mid-October.

Bell was charged with a crime committed for benefit of a gang, aiding an offender to avoid arrest and two charges of being an accomplice after the fact, court documents said.

The man was indicted last week and will appear in court on December 3.

“The investigation is ongoing and with that being the case, we aren’t going to comment at length on what role he is playing,” said St. Paul police spokesman Howie Padilla.

Nicknamed Nunu, Turner’s family had her vigil interrupted by another shooting days later.
