Colman Domingo talks ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ season 2 midseason finale, Strand at a ‘crossroads’
Actor Colman Domingo says Victor Strand is not going to be the same man he once was following the death of his partner on Fear the Walking Dead. Domingo talks about the character betraying the gay couple’s pact to die together and choosing to shoot the newly bitten man in the head, thus preventing his transformation into a zombie.
“I think he knew what was best for Thomas Abigail and I think he would have said anything to close the deal,” Domingo said on Watch with Mashable, a Facebook Live series.
With Thomas’ best interests at heart, Stand did and said anything necessary to give him peace, Domingo said.
“I think it’s a selfless act, really.”
An act, too, that will leave Strand with a choice as he faces his grief: go down a dark path or not.
“I think he’s at a crossroads,” Domingo says. “I think we’re going to find out a lot about that in the next episode.”
The Fear the Walking Dead midseason finale promised to be a nail-biter that will see the characters “completely shift.”
“Your head is going to explode,” he teased. “You really see the world has changed and then you’re wondering what’s going to happen to these people.”
