Cold Case solved: Charles Martinez arrested for 2009 murder of Victor Martinez
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has solved a 2009 murder case: the death of Victor Martinez.
Detectives arrested Charles Martinez, 28, Saturday in the death of Victor Martinez, 21.
Charles Andrew Martinez was in jail on charges related to homicides in 2013, but will now also be charged of shooting and killing the 21-year-old on Nov. 8, 2009.
Victor Martinez was found dead in the area of Powell Road and Highway 41 South in Gibsonton, Fl. Detectives said the victim sustained a gunshot wound to the middle of his back and another gunshot wound to the head.
Charles Martinez has been charged with first-degree murder with a firearm and grand theft of a motor vehicle.
In the other charge, the man has been connected to the 2014 deaths of two women, Lindsay Nicole Greene and Jennifer L. Kalb. After Greene and Kalb died in a charred townhouse, Martinez was accused of stabbing them to death and committing arson.
