Cirque Dreams Holidaze coming to St Pete on November 21

One of the nation’s most epic performances is bringing their holiday spectacular, ‘Cirque Dreams Holidaze,’ to the Duke Energy Center for the Arts – Mahaffey Theater. The show will take place on Thursday, November 21st at 7:30pm. Ticket prices are $38 – $68 and can be purchased online at www.TheMahaffey.com, by phone (727) 300-2000, or at the Box Office located at 400 1st St. South Downtown St. Pete. The Box Office is open 11am – 5pm Monday through Saturday.

Cirque Dreams Holidaze has been hailed by the New York Daily News as a “delicious confection of charm, sparkle and talent by the sleighload.” Broadway World raved it’s “the perfect holiday gift and show everyone will enjoy,” of the sold-out performances that “dazzled…at The Kennedy Center” (Washington Post). The Tennessean proclaimed it “a dazzling Holidaze Spectacle…for both young and old” at the Grand Ole Opry House.

Broadway Director and Cirque Dreams founder Neil Goldberg has searched the world to assemble a remarkable cast of incomparable cirque artists, singers, dancers and talent to mesmerize audiences with new acts, holiday scenes, theatrical innovation and much more in 2019. Set in a multi-million-dollar wonderland of elaborate scenes and dozens of original holiday production numbers, audiences will celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with over 300 spectacular costumes and 20 of the world’s most astonishing acts. Broadway singers perform original music along with new twists on seasonal favorites such as “Deck the Halls,” “Winter Wonderland,” and “Jingle Bell Rock.” On-the-edge-of-your-seat feats are performed by toy soldiers, snowmen, penguins, candles, reindeer, gingerbread, carolers, Santa and colossal ornaments flying, balancing and stretching imaginations in this groundbreaking production. Join in the festivities and catch the holiday spirit with the show the Boston Globe declared “Las Vegas…meets family entertainment…meets musical theatre!” 

The Duke Energy Center for the Arts – Mahaffey Theater

The Mahaffey Theater, under the management of Big3 Entertainment, is one of Tampa Bay’s top-rated performing arts venues. Home to the Florida Orchestra, the world class Mahaffey Theater hosts top-quality national and international artists and performances – pop, rock, comedy, theater, dance, classical and interactive engagements and exhibitions. Located in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg, the 2,031-seat cultural jewel boasts spectacular waterfront views and is located only minutes away from white sandy beaches and world-renowned museums. Additionally, the theater supports the highly successful Class Acts program, which enables school children to experience the performing arts through in-theater performances as well as in-school outreach and extension programs.

Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts supports performing arts programming at the Duke Energy Center for the Arts – Mahaffey Theater. We provide arts education programs for youth, community outreach programs, and performances as well as concerts for the entire community with emphasis on diverse programming for youth, underserved audiences and families. Each year more than 20,000 school children are provided a field trip experience to learn Florida State curriculum through a live theater performance. This Class Acts Educational Performance series is in its 27th season and serves students from six counties. Additionally, the Foundation ensures that funding is in place to continue providing diverse programming in the theater for the general public.
