Chris Dunkley, USF football player, arrested after beating a woman with a computer cord
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s office has reported the arrested of a USF football player battery domestic violence.
Christopher Dunkley, age 21, reported got into a verbal dispute with his girlfriend and the fight escalated resulting in “the defendant forced the victim to the floor and began to punch and strike the victim about the arms and legs,” states the sheriff’s report.
Dunkley then forced the woman into a closet to strike her with a computer cord on the back of the legs, causing several lacerations.
Dunkley is listed as a redshirt sophomore for the Bulls, plays wide receiver and majors in interdisciplinary social science
He has been suspended indefinitely from the team following his arrest on a misdemeanor count of domestic violence.
Coach Skip Holtz announced the suspension Sunday night, saying in a prepared statement, “Our players have an obligation to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner on and off the field. Due to the serious nature of this matter, we have suspended Chris indefinitely from all team activities.”
