Chinese theater uses fan made ‘gay Thor 2′ movie poster featuring Loki and Thor ‘snuggling’

Marvel may be getting some last minute viral marketing but after a post on Reddit, the message isn’t what they had in mind.

Reportedly  a movie theater in China mistakenly used a fan-made Thor: The Dark World poster to promote the film.

The poster banner artwork features Thor (Chris Hemsworth) clutching the villainous Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in a loving embrace; the actual poster shows Thor pulling the move on his girlfriend, Jane (Natalie Portman).

Below you can see both posters.

The Dark World opens in theaters as the latest film in the Phase Two of the Marvel Studios films, expecting a monster opening weekend after an incredible earlier this year by Iron Man 3.

The forecast by box office mojo predicts the film to fall just short of $100 million, but significantly stronger than the 2011 film which opened with $65.7 million.

At this point, it’s a foregone conclusion that Thor: The Dark World will do stronger business than the first Thor thanks to what we like to call “The Avengers Effect,” writes Box Office Mojo.
